I have danced, in one way or another, all of my life.
Its more than just movement, it moves the soul. I have danced out joy, pain, happiness and suffering and I don’t remember a time when I didn’t.
I have stood in the presence of gifted and talented dancers who have shared knowledge and experience. I have absorbed all that I can. The day I stop learning is the day I die. I was a day-dreamer in school… dreaming up choreographies.
I will always be my own worst critic. I’m at peace with that.
I push my own boundaries because noone else will…. or at least I haven’t them yet.
From the first intake of breath until the last gasp our bodies never actually stop moving. We don’t NEED to think about it.. but its good sometimes to pause and be open to the movement. Its good to check in from time to time and remember just how unique and fantastic we really are.
