BrigadeCon 2014 is an online gaming convention hosted by the RPG Brigade, a collective of tabletop roleplaying enthusiasts, raising funds for Charity.
The RPG Brigade saw its beginnings on YouTube in 2010; a small collection of roleplaying enthusiasts with a passion for reviewing, discussing, and dissecting tabletop roleplaying games. Back then, the community numbered less than ten. Quickly these contributors and their channels began to reach out to more and more fellow gamers, who joined them in creating vlogs about the hobby they love.
In the course of four years the Brigade has bloomed in size, and the videos only increased in production quality and breadth. Mainstream games were reviewed, obscure games were highlighted, and out-of-print games had their praises sung for the world to see.
The contributions of our members then expanded to a Facebook Group and Google+ Community that contain several hundred members, many of whom are video creators. Some exciting migrations occurred as members began posting in venues other than YouTube such a Vimeo, which now boasts a highly active and social branch of the Brigade. Podcasts were recorded, with the in introduction of Google+ Hangouts and Skype, games were broadcasted live for all to see.
The Brigade is now noticed by the roleplaying hobbyists in the world, along with the producers of these magnificent games. Our contributors have created art for published games, published their own games, and written for award-winning games companies. The Brigade grows from strength to strength with every new member, whether a viewer, commentator, or video creator. The Brigade is where roleplayers go for the most passionate reviews and true expressions of joy for thus wonderful hobby.
